Cleaning Bronze, & Fine Metal
The cleaning methods we use for this type of restoration are similar to those we have already discussed. Many sculptures are overcoated with blends of waxes to protect them and some are even painted. Eventually this needs replacing and removing old hardened wax or coatings without damaging the surface patina requires a high level of patience and skill.
